Edited by: Stick Cult on 12/08/2010 16:40:27 You said something 4 times, which minor changes each time, you must be correct.
You clearly know that only bots have buy orders for PLEX, since no legitimate player in his/her right mind would pay for game time with ISK.
Then you drop the "micro transactions" bomb, almost completely irrelevantly.
Last, you imply Eve isn't dead already.
Thank you for this informative thread.
edit: you also capitalize BOT to make it seems scarier and to emphasize a nonexistent point.

It probably won't happen. I think CCP just bans a few here and there to make it look like they are banning bot/macros. But, even the bot/macros have to pay for their account, that's cash for CCP, so why the futhark would they ban them?!
CCP bans them in batches of thousands every few months (Unholy Rage). They seem to think it a better strategy than banning them as they find them. Personally, I'm fine with it.

Like, a super cool death ray from an alien ship that appears next to the offender and destroys him. Kind of like how they do it in Guild Wars with the Grim Reaper looking dude:
Ban Scythe
Macro-miners get transparently transported to a second identical server/universe/instance with just NPC buy orders. The bots continue to run until they realize they're in their own little cloned closed limbo universe with no way to transfer isk, ships or clones to the actual server.
I feel like I've heard something about way back, just after the game came out, where instead of a temporary ban you would be moved to an empty jove system for a few days...
edit: actually that is a pretty badass idea...

That's right. CCP *IS* working on the problem just like they're working on all the other problems in Eve...
Oh... right forgot. It'll be at least a year and a half to two years till then. Well I guess watch out botters! Your comeuppance will be here soon... in two years!

Oh dear lord, we've gone from 'the server being down is a bad thing' to the 'server will be up is a bad thing'... Eve players are complete ****s.

Does this have anything to do with my post that you quoted?

Not aimed at you specifically. Just observing that you've observed that we've gone from complaining about sever down times (check your sig) due to being tuxforded and due to updates (server move and tyrannis) to essentially complaining about the server being up (but unchanged) for the next 18 months.
CCP can't win.
So true... I love Tuxford!
But really, if CCP cancels Dust and Incarna to fix everything, people will complain "why don't we have Incarna or Dust? "
